The “Designated Workers for Designated Skills” (DWDS) provision under the Construction Workers Registration Ordinance will be implemented on 1 April 2017. This App provides a quick search function to facilitate the industry practitioners to search the information in relation to the DWDS requirement. By entering the trade names, trade codes or keywords, users can easily access the information of the relevant trade divisions, including skill description, qualification for registration, the work-across-skill arrangement etc. This App introduces the requirements and areas of application of the DWDS provision as well as other user-aided information, such as FAQ and related guidelines. It also facilitates users to evaluate whether their work fall within the scope of exempted work by interactive Questions & Answers. In addition, this App connects to the Register of Construction Workers to enable the industry to access the registration particulars of the registered construction workers and provides the latest news and events of the CIC to further enhance the connection between the CIC and the industry.
